YPhoto Countdown Calendar Project
As soon as the clock turns 12:01 on October 31st, we’re officially on holiday time and the Christmas countdown begins! And nothing says “Christmas Countdown” like an advent calendar. They’re everywhere! You can get a Harry Potter Lego Advent Calendar, or one filled with beauty supplies. Do you like silly socks? You can get an advent calendar for that. How about chocolate, jelly or wine? Yep, all available. There are advent calendars for pets, for puzzle lovers, and even one featuring rubber ducks. (Youngevity has one too – and it’s spectacular! You should absolutely get it.)
But how about a fully customizable countdown calendar that features your family and holiday traditions? If that sounds good to you, check out our featured project – YPhoto Countdown Calendar Project!
This countdown is perfect if you have little kids, big kids or no kids (it would be adorable with pets!). We’ve made it super easy for you using two products: our 24×36 size poster, and our Snapshot prints. While you can create the designs 100% from scratch, we’ve also pre-designed them for you to just drag and drop your photos and place your order.
Let’s take a closer look.

Using the Countdown Calendar
To attach the Snapshot prints, we simply used some Velcro dots, placing one side on the poster, and the other on the print. Easy!
Don’t forget – YOU get to decide what goes on this countdown! Along with your chosen photos, you choose what activities you’re going to do. Maybe you want to watch 25 Christmas themed movies…you could definitely do that. Or maybe you want to enjoy an assortment of holiday traditions, so the busy-ness of the season doesn’t overshadow the things you love to do. Or maybe you don’t assign any activities at all, and instead you just want to countdown to the holidays with photos of the people you love the most. That’s the beauty of this advent calendar—you make it exactly the way you want it!
So…what’s your plan? How are you going to use this? It would be a fun gift to send to a Grandparent or young adult in their first apartment. If you have little ones, they’re going to love filling up the poster with the photos. This can become a holiday tradition that you use for many years. Let us know how yours turns out—we’d love to see them on our Facebook page!
To help you get started, we created two step-by-step videos. Watch them and start creating!
