The holidays can be very hard on the liver and healthy liver function. Tonight Dr. Conaway will begin her series on liver health. Referred to as the metabolic warehouse of the body, our liver is responsible for detoxification, storing some vitamins and minerals, storing sugar as fuel, manufacturing hormones, and so much more. Over the next few weeks, Dr. Conaway will highlight many of the important functions and discuss things we need to know to keep our liver healthy especially during the holiday season.
