Pocket Pages to the Rescue!

I am so happy to report that our beautiful and versatile pocket pages have shipped and will be back in stock in a few weeks! I have really enjoyed hearing from many of you regarding your passion for pocket pages. One of those messages came from Margie Galkiewicz and I thought you would love hearing her very motivational story.

“When I first started doing pocket style pages it was because I had gotten behind in my everyday albums. After having two children and taking many, many pictures of them growing up, I quickly got 3-4 years behind. I had done a couple themed pocket page albums, and realized how quickly I could get pictures and stories into an album. I then decided I would give the pocket pages a try to get caught up. Now 20 completed pocket style albums later, I have hundreds and hundreds of simple, beautiful pages full of stories and memories to treasure forever.

Prior to these albums I was a traditional scrapbooker (42 completed albums of those) who liked to do both simple, and detailed layouts. Sometimes when I go to a crop with a lot of people I see people looking, and some even judge the types of pages that I do because it is so much simpler to them, but I just have to let it slide off my back because I know my albums are getting done and they still look great. It breaks my heart to watch those people create these very complicated layouts that take hours and hours and their pictures seem to get lost in all that detail. For me it is the pictures that are most important, and even when I was doing traditional albums regularly, I liked to keep my pictures almost full 4 x 6, or with very little cropping.

I could go on forever, but here are some of the main reasons I love these pages. I like the clean, sharp, simplistic look that the black background creates around the pictures. I love the ability to add a strip of paper down the side of each page to add color to the page. Sometimes I use the Border Maker cartridges in those slots, or create titles. The possibilities are endless! I love that OMFL offers the pocket journal cards and pocket strips, but I also can make my own strips out of cardstock and decorate the pages just as I would a regular page. I decorate in any of the available slots on a page, adding embellishments, titles, a Cricut design, etc. I could go on and on, but I think my pages tell the story of how important these pages are to me. Completed albums are possible and staying within 6-12 months of being caught up is HUGE!!”

I know many people will be encouraged to get caught up with their photos just like Margie did using the OMFL pocket pages! Thank you Margie for your inspiration – we LOVE your pocket pages!
