3 Things to Start doing in 2022
The world is constantly on the move. There is so much stimulation coming to us from social media, the internet, even our own friends and family that we can forget about our own needs. When we forget to slow down and take time to do things that help our mind and body, our physical and mental health takes the toll. So, this year, take time to really focus on your health by doing these three things.
Give back
We live in a world with so much need and many of us have the means to help so many. Unfortunately, we can often get so preoccupied with what’s going on our own world, that you can forget about others. When you are able to give just even a little bit back to someone it can add so much to your own life. Even by making someone smile you are adding kindness to the world; which is something we all need right now. So set a couple of hours each week to focus on others. Find a place to volunteer or just find some time to talk to someone in need.
Spend Less Time on Your Phone
You may not know it, but constant stimulation from your mobile device can cause unnecessary stress. This can then lead to many other health problems. While you may love the constant stimulation of knowing what’s going on in the world, this stimulation can be harmful to your mental health. Try and be more mindful of your screen time. Start by setting a cut off time for social media at night. You can also leave your phone behind when you go on walks.
Focus on prevention
The last couple of years have been challenging for many and healthcare has never been more important. It’s become clear that taking every measure to stay healthy is vital. Unfortunately, many wait until something happens to make the necessary changes to get healthy. By giving your body the nourishment it needs to keep you healthy, you can help prevent many health problems. At the minimum, you should make sure you’re getting the 90 essential nutrients recommended by Dr. Wallach. Then, do a health assessment and figure out what areas you should focus on to make sure you’re giving your body what it needs.
It’s time to focus on your mental and physical health. This year let’s do things that will help us live a healthy, happy life. Prevention is the key.
