Vicky said, “I love making calendars every year for me and my family. It brings me JOY each month to look at photos that are meaningful to me. Last year I made my daughter a desk calendar. She thought it was great! She is a hairstylist and has it displayed at her workplace. When her husband saw the calendar he also wanted a copy to take to his workplace.
I also display my calendar pages from past years in a frame in our home. I change the Calendar page to feature whomever is visiting or for the season. People just love seeing themselves in print.”

Each page is perforated in two places, allowing you to tear it away from the binding and remove the calendar grid—leaving you with a 12 x 12 page to add to our OMFL traditional album. I especially love the top-loading pages for this idea!
Here’s an example of a calendar I put together for several years using slides that were scanned into a digital format. I got the stories behind these pictures from my parents and added them onto the page. Each Christmas I created one calendar and ordered multiple copies for all my siblings and parents. The calendar was enjoyed all year long. At the end of the year, the 12 x 12 photo page was easily torn off and slid into a traditional scrapbook. This was how I put together a family album from my childhood. Each year we couldn’t wait to open that gift and years later I have a treasured album from my childhood.
