From Fall to Men

Posted: September 21, 2016 | By: Youngevity

Fall brings rich colors like deep red, golden yellow, burnt oranges, as well as beautiful browns and greens. If you think about it, you often see these colors in men’s clothing and designs. So we took advantage of that by including 2″ Border Strips with a manly look to them using the same color palette found in the All About Fall by Lauren Hinds collection. I have a few layouts to share today to show you how versatile this collection is, including one for the man in your life.

I don’t do it any more, but as a kid there were few things as fun as playing in a pile of leaves. The funny thing is we’d spend all that time raking them into a pile only to spread them back out again while playing. The colors in this collection look amazing with the new Gold Solid Color Cardstock, which is the background for this layout. The Classy Ivy Design Cartridge adds a fun touch to the layout. Notice that I used the leaves and swirls that are punched out as accents on the second page (adhere them in place with the Precision Point Glue Pen).

Here’s another fall one with a Creme de la Creme Refill Page as the base. This page was so quick and easy to make. The refill page adds a soft, subtle design to the layout. The 2″ Border Strip down the side pulls in a variety of colors and the pocket border strip along the bottom and the pocket journal card help tie everything together. Just think how many pages you can get done this way!

Finally, our manly pages. Again, refill pages were used as the base, in this case from the Black Noir set. There are plenty of colors in the photos to pull from when selecting borders and journal cards. To help it feel cohesive, I used the Zig Zag Design Cartridge on both borders. Plus, there is green in both border strips, which helps bridge the design.

I hope this has given you a few ideas for how to use this gorgeous collection on your pages. If you want to see the full collection up close, you’ll find it in a blog post from two weeks ago. Plus, we shared a video last week that you can watch.

Have fun creating!
