Naturally Alkaline
Icelandic Glacial’s water is naturally alkaline due to the slow filtering over lava rocks, which creates a 8.4 pH, which is really high. Why is this important? Alkaline water contains additional minerals,, which changes the acidity of the water. For most alkaline water, the minerals are added during processing, but the minerals in Icelandic Glacial’s water occur naturally from the lava rock filtering. As a side note, bottling process brings the water directly from the underground spring to the clean room where it is bottled.
